End of break blues

It’s only Friday night, but I’m having seriously end of break blues. I’m not sure quite why. Maybe it’s because the next two days are really busy and will feel hectic. Maybe it’s because I’m realizing that I won’t have completed some big tasks on my to-do list. Maybe it’s because I’m hosting book club on Sunday and hosting is just not my jam.

But I did order some more sweatshirt dresses from H&M today, because sweatshirt dresses are my jam. It’s nice to have something to look forward to after we go back to school.

I hope to write more about the randomness that was my Black Friday purchases (which were made all week, and not really today), but like I said, the next two days will be busy.

I guess I’m ending NaBloPoMo with a whimper, and not a bang.

I ran this morning. And even though I felt like shit (again!), the weather and views were BEAUTIFUL.

San Francisco, showing off her stuff.
Mt. Diablo looking stunning.

  1. I’m having end of break blues, and I didn’t even really have a “break”. I’m just bummed out that this fun and festive week is ending. My son is leaving today, and it’s hard to just go back to normal. Plus, my husband is in a bad mood so I know HE’S dreading going back to school. Sometimes I feel like the longer you have off, the harder it is to go back.
Anyway- hang in there. Good luck with book club (hosting would stress me out as well!)

  2. We did not have the whole week off. Rather, we worked Monday, Tuesday and early dismissal on Wednesday; off Thursday -Sunday. I use to get terrible go back to work blues back in the day when I worked at a terrible, toxic place. But not any more. There are a few reasons for that: 1. my kids are small and I just want to get away from them lol (only partially kidding), 2. I really like my current district, 3. it’s only three more weeks and then we are off for 12 days for winter break, 4. I do better with structured days.

  3. Breaks always go by entirely too fast. I hope you feel a little rested though. At least, next week you won’t have to blog daily on top of everything else 😉 Thanks for joining again this year, Noemi!

  4. Thank you so much for all the effort and support through this month! You have been a gift in a month when it was … tough.
Hope your return is smooth and the book group goes well. I am always grateful to hostesses of such groups and also Impressed by how organized they seem to always be…. and I mentally compare myself which I know is wrong and then am convinced their homes are always so perfect unlike my own.
Your warmth and kindness and hospitality are what is important. What is the book? Just finished A WALK IN THE PARK which is a true adventure and inspiring of floating not walking down the Grand Canyon! Must be an amazing adventure.
BEST wishes that all the students in every class are motivated and happy to be back in school routines (yes, I dream big!) and your classes appreciate you.

  5. Oh, those views still get me every single time. I hope you are settling into your routine. I always feel that makes it much easier to get back after a break. I feel like I need another one already.
