I took the kids (and a friend each) to WinterFest at Great America (the local amusement park) today. We had a great time. We went on a ton of rides and took pictures with the lights and Christmas characters. My son rode on his first roller coasters and loved them. It was super fun. And exhausting. I’m ready to stay home and do nothing tomorrow.
We listened to Christmas music on the way down and back. Listening to four kids belt Wham!’s Last Christmas was the icing on the holiday cake.
This looks like so much fun! And I love the thought of kiddos belting out some Wham. Lovely way to begin the holiday season.
Beautiful! I’ve never done the seasonal amusement parks, but I bet it’s really fun. Way to create those memories!
How nice of you to be building these memories for your kids AND their friends. Looks like you had fun too and that will make the memories of all you did on this break even nicer when reality hits your classrooms. (AND, because you worked so hard with papers and grades over the last two weeks your future self will be appreciative!) Have a lovely quiet day, weather looks great! Enjoy.
FUN! I haven’t been to Great America in many years, but we used to go a lot when I was a kid. Yay for WHAM!
Ha ha… I’m laughing at this because I’m probably the only person who hates Wham’s Last Christmas! I wrote a blog post a couple years ago, and the comments were pretty funny (no one agreed with me, if I recall.)
This really looks like fun- but I can see why you would be exhausted!
That looks like fun. A great start to the holiday season.
