I was able to check off all my biggest priorities this week. I even accomplished a few tasks on my hope-to list. I got the upstairs all cleaned up for my sister (the bathroom especially needed a lot of work). I graded both sets of tests that my students took last Monday (I rarely take a full week to score tests). I picked up the downstairs (though it’s kind of messy again) AND cleaned out the bench where I like to hide Xmas presents (this was on my “hope-to” list). I have all the Halloween stuff in bags ready to put them back in the shed. I got cat food and went to Costco. I even went through my Favorites photos on my phone and moved a couple hundred shots to another folder for the calendar! And started the new 1B reflection page I’m going to have my 8th graders fill out this week!
I did all this after the election and while my sister has been in town!
I’m feeling pretty decent about where I’m at right now, which feels nice. I haven’t felt caught up in a long while and I’m trying to revel in it. I still need to fold some laundry tonight and I want to lay on my acupressure mat before 11pm, so I’ll end this very short posts with some photos from today. It was raining on my drive home from my parents’ this morning, but it cleared up for us to ride and run on the Great Highway right before sunset.
That bike ride looks spectacular!
It is very impressive how much work you put into teaching and taking care of your house/family. Seriously, amazing.
I hope you have a quiet week and some time to rest and do the things you love.
These photos are BEAUTIFUL (mountains! You have mountains!)
You got a lot done, and now I’m feeling way behind. I haven’t even taken down the Halloween stuff yet.
I just wanna say these pictures are amazing. I also love the fog in the mountains (or anywhere).
I’m out of the loop…is the Great Highway closed every day now? I thought it was just weekends? I feel conflicted about that…
1. It’s great for people who want to ride or jog or whatever.
2. San Francisco makes it SO HARD for people to get from point a to point b, closing it permanently is going to make traffic on Sunset and 19th even worse.
I used to sometimes drive to SF State that way, from our place in the Inner Richmond, just because it’s so pretty. So yeah, I guess I’m against it. Not that I got to vote, since I live in Walnut Creek.
But for those who use it for recreation, it sure is pretty! Also, I love your pictures and count me in as team fog in mountains/hills. I love it!
You know, I kinda forgot about it being Monday when we went. Since it was a day off. I was also fine with just weekends closing it. But I guess the stretch from Skyline (35) to the Great Highway is facing serious erosion and will be closed permanently which makes leaving that stretch of 1 open less helpful. But yeah, I also think they make it too hard to get from one place to another and that having it open to pedestrian and bike traffic on the weekends was plenty.
Love the shot of the hills in fog and the Pacific Ocean ones too. Both kids on two wheelers makes me wonder if your husband also rides? Activity being a helper of managing depression as I am sure you know too.
Congratulations on all you got done over the past 7 days. You are always amazing.
