Friday night we went downtown to see the Let’s Glow with the kids. They bitched and moaned the whole time but then decided it was fun. They do that a lot these days.
At 9:45pm the 14yo had her MRI. It was stressful but she did fine.
Saturday morning at 5am all our phones went off for a…wait for it… tornado warning. First tornado warning EVER in San Francisco. I guess the winds were blowing fast enough in so many different directions that maybe a tornado could have formed? You may have heard at we had a tsunami warning last week after an earthquake hit off the coast of Eugene, Oregon. So many alarms blasting on our phones lately!
My friend sent this text the next morning and I laughed so hard.
Saturday the 11yo and I went to the dojo. I taught Teens then we went to Sparring and Forms. I didn’t stay for high belt, so I could take the 11yo home.
The 11yo wanted to go to his grandparents to spend the night so the 14yo got to have two friends over at our house. They watched a couple movies and were in bed by midnight. The husband and I also watched a movie and were in bed by midnight.
Sunday the girls stayed over for breakfast, then I took them home and dropped three heeping bags of clothes at the Salvation Army. Back at home the 14yo and I watched Silo, then she studied for finals while I worked out. That night the 11yo and I watched some Cobra Kai. Oh and at some point my husband and I decided we should go to the snow and he rented an AirBnB while I dug our snow clothes box out of the shed.
Today (Monday) I got the fridge ready to be put on the street. I am so excited to get rid of that shitty fridge! I double checked the snow clothes and ordered the few things we needed. This trip is definitely making this week more stressful; but ultimately I know I’ll be glad we went at the beginning of the break.

W: PiYo Sculpt (a brutal 27 min body weight strength class that kills my legs every time – I had to do this because my husband had a board meeting in our room and I couldn’t use the bike or my weights)
Th: 20 min 90s ride w/ Tunde + CG Deadbug video
F: Rest (Let’s Glow + MRI appt)
Sa: Teach teens + Sparring + Forms
Su: 45 min Bike Bootcamp w/ Tunde + 10 min Arms & Shoulders w/ Selena Samuela (did with with the 14yo as she needs to work on upper body strength) + 10 stability ball ab workout.
It’s hard to fit workouts in this time of year on top of everything else, so nice job. How do you like that deadbug workout? It’s officially my favorite core workout.
For our most recent hurricane, we actually didn’t get hit by the hurricane but several tornadoes went through our area and did a lot of damage. What in the world is going on? I like the text your friend sent, ha ha.
