On my drive to work Wednesday morning, I was listening to a recap of the Blue Tsunami as I watched the little lights splash around the inside of the car as the sun sparkled off my sequins Valkyrie jacket, which I was wearing for the Championship Parade later that day and I thought, Damn. Today is a good day.
The parade was a ton of fun. I was able to go without missing any classes, which I appreciated very much. The weather was beautiful and there were THOUSANDS of fans out to share their love of Golden State’s WNBA team, which won the Finals in its SECOND YEAR.

I stopped to get my favorite meal on the way home.
Then that night I went to pick a Pilates class and my two favorite instructors had filmed a class together. They are very different women with very different vibes and they are evidently good friends and I loved their joint class. It was just what I needed when I really didn’t want to workout – something special and extra fun.

I am obviously not participating in NABloPoMo this year. I took on a last minute obligation that is like a black hole in my work life, sucking up all my time and mental capacity right now. It should get better, but not for a while.
But that’s okay, because yesterday the Democrats flipped seats that haven’t been blue since the New Deal.
And the Valkyrie were the 2026 WNBA Champions.
Wednesday was a really good day.
I am sorry a school need required your time and energy. They are lucky to have you and I hope they really appreciate and show their appreciation for all you do. But past experiences tell me to not hold my breath. So, “Thank you” from me. You give so much to make school a positive experience of learning and growing for the people who are future voters and adults. You make a huge difference.
BLUE skies, hope that what comes next brings happier times and a better future. It looks like a long tough time to bring that hope to reality. But hope is important and gives strength for that haul.
Best wishes to all your endeavors!!!!! Thank you for the support you give.
