Nightly prep. I’m still hanging up my outfit every night. I even hung a hook so it was easier to hang dresses and skirts. Some nights I bring my shoes in, and whatever long sleeves I’m wearing. The fact that I can wake up at the same time as before, but consistently get to school 30 minutes sooner is honestly shocking. It inspires me to keep hanging up my whole outfit every night, even when I really just want to go to bed.
Working out right when I get home. It’s SO HARD to motivate to immediately change into workout clothes when I get home, but being finished by 5:30 or 6pm is definitely worth it. I hope I can keep that up.
Second pair of glasses. I got a second pair of computer distance progressives right before school started. My prescription is almost exactly the same, so I can interchange the glasses depending on what I’m wearing, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have an extra pair that always lives in my car in case I forget a pair at home. No more work days without my glasses! Woot!
Kid chores. It’s only been two weeks, but I’ve been way more consistent about making sure the kids get their chores done every night, even the newer ones that still require some guidance. I REALLY hope I keep it up.
New schedule at school. I’m really liking my new schedule at school. 1st and 4th period preps are nice. It’s definitely hard to have both my difficult classes in the afternoon, but because of some issues with our master schedule, that always happens. Today was our first block Thursday, and I liked it SO MUCH MORE than last year. I get to teach my two 1A classes in a row, then I get a long prep, then I teach the two 6th grade classes, with a lunch in between. I used to hate Thursdays so much, but this year they are going to be so much better.
