If this stuff had NOT worked out you better believe I’d be bitching about it here. But it did! And I can still write about it because recognizing the positive is good practice.
The cat food came. It’s been hard to order the cat’s special food knowing it would come while we’re home, and it was out of stock on the first attempt which complicated matters further. I ordered it while we were in LA and it arrived on Friday afternoon, the last possible day for me to not have to worry about it. Woo hoo!
New Fem.ring became available. My new doctor put in the Rx on Monday and I ordered it immediately. At first I was having it shipped, but after 48 hours of it being “In Process” I used the pharmacy chat feature to determine it would be better to move the order to an actual pharmacy. Of course it was out of stock there doe two days, but it finally was ready for pick up on Friday afternoon. I’m so glad I don’t have to manage rashes from my old patches all week
Cat care, CHECK! My husband usually takes care of the communication of the cat care info; honestly, his parents have been doing it so long they don’t really need much guidance at this point. They are currently out of town so my friend and her daughter are feeding the cats once a day. I edited the doc my husband wrote earlier this summer, and made them a video. I feel confident they have all the info they need to take care of our sweet felines.
New phone! My old phone (a 13 Pro) has been making me a little crazy lately. Many of the apps would freeze until I swiped out of all other apps. I couldn’t get maps to work reliably in St. Louis. So I did a back up on my phone and went to the Apple Store yesterday to trade it in for a new 17 Pro. I got almost $300 for the old phone and am so far very happy with the new phone.
Phone case came on time. I ordered a new phone case and it arrived as I pulled up with the new phone. I have way too much anxiety to handle an iPhone without a case on it, so I appreciated the timing very much. Also, I realized we needed new snorkel booties for the 12yo in time to order him a new pair, and they also came on time!
Everything else. I felt like I had the time I needed to pack everyone, do the laundry, pick up the house, and just generally get ready for this trip. I even had the time to clean my beloved Dyson’s filter when I realized it smelled like a diaper pail after rinsing it out. It took a few attempts, bur when I left it smelled… like nothing! Best case scenario!
Flight time (and on time!) Our flight was at 2pm, which allowed us to sleep in, work out, and do final clean up before we headed to the airport. It was the perfect amount of time to get stuff done and not feel rushed. I love a well timed flight! (And we’re coming home on a red eye, which is the worst of all worlds). We’re pulling away from the gate now, right on time!
